This is the story of, once again, recovering Isa but in the midst of her recovery we lose another wizard. This is such a great series that you can't read just 1 of the installments. You have to fully immerse yourself in the series from the beginning. The journey is well worth it and you will add yet another fabulous author to your repertoire. If you don't indulge your senses you don't know what you are missing. Lucia has a wonderful imagination and you feel like you are living the story live as you read it. A read suitable for all ages.
In 'Questionable Rescue' of the Magical Arts Academy, Lucia Ashta sees Isadora once again in Miranda's hands. This happens when she tries to help Count Vabu. As she is saved from Miranda's clutches, another wizard is lost. Isa has also learnt that she can open portals.As usual in this intense instalment of the series, there is a lot happening, and the Author once again does not disappoint with her wonderful creative imagination. The smooth and precise writing draws and holds the reader's attention and has him/her believing it could almost be real.From start to finish this was an enjoyable book to read.The well though out plot and storyline is the trademark of the Author. Lucia Ashta is not simply an Author, she is one of the most creative writers I have ever had the pleasure to run across. Recommended!Gifted with a copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
I will admit to a deep and abiding bias: I’ve never met her but I absolutely adore LucÃa Ashta. Don’t worry, I’m not a stalker or anything (other than on kindle), but I am an totally addicted to writers who are consistently wonderful. That describes this author, and I’m qualified to say this as I think I’ve read all she’s written. Questionable Rescue (both the novel and the series, Magical Arts Academy, that it’s the fifth book of) is a perfect example of that. Wonderful world-building, perfectly crafted lead and supporting characters (certainly Isadora, but the rest - even evil Miranda - too) and a perfectly plotted and written story. Really you simply cannot go wrong with this book (though you do need to read the prior books first). But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
Man, I cannot tell you how great this installment is. A fantastic series and Lucia is a shinning star. Such a gifted author with an amazing imagination and a taste for living life to the fullest thats the way I see her. I believe if she set her mind to it she could make us all believe she can rope the moon. Yes, she is a fantastic story teller with a strategic bent and an awesome way of bringing tales to life brilliantly. She has the ability to bring you into a world she created just for our enjoyment. Lucia Ashta has a wonderful imagination and has created an exceptional and unique tale. This 5th addition is another sample of her story telling. In Questionable Rescue Isa again finds herself almost in the clutches of the evil sorcerous Miranda while trying to hep Count Vabu rescue his sister Priscilla. In her rescue, one o the wizards is lost. If you haven't started this series, you are truly missing a wonderful tale. I highly recommend this book as well as the series. It I best to begin at the beginning, First Spell. You'll thank yourself if you do. Received a copy and this is my voluntary and honest review.
This is a fantastic series. The Author has you hooked from the first past. On the edge of your seat the whole read. I love how she brings the Characters out. Isodora hasn't quite got her magic under control. So she is learning very fast how to handle it. Will they escape in time. I highly recommend this fantastic read. With magic. And twists and turns. I literally did not put the book down until the end. This is definitely a Must Read.Shauna Joesten
This was a very intense episode. The story grabs you from the very start, as do all the books. It’s impossible not to finish as soon as you can , drawn to read page after page. I actually felt part of the story , feeling Isa’s triumphs, fears and frustrations. Such is the skill of a master storyteller such as Lucia.Loved this book and crave the next .A must read series for sure.
This series by Lucia Ashta is an awesome series. She is a prolific writer for her genre. This book isa transports herself to the hands of an evil sorcerres. will she find what she needs? or will she survive against her. You will have to read and find out. I assure you this author and this series are amazing, must reads
